Our story began in Silver Bay, nestled along the picturesque North Shore of Minnesota, where the breathtaking landscapes inspired a passion for adventure and exploration. In 1986, Chuck and Peggy Potter, both avid scuba divers, recognized a need for reliable high-pressure air solutions and founded Northshore Compressor. Their commitment to quality and customer service quickly established the company as a trusted provider in the industry.
As the business flourished, it became a second-generation family operation when their son, Steven Potter, joined in 2007. With a vision to expand the product offerings and enhance service capabilities, Steven eventually branched off to create Arctic Compressor in 2009. This new venture focused on manufacturing high-quality compressors designed for various applications, including recreational diving, firefighting, and industrial use.
